Graphic Designer (Print + Production) – Part Time (In-Office)

Design And Customize NY is a Brooklyn-based creative studio focused on custom packaging, branding, and print production for a range of fast-moving client projects.
We’re hiring a part-time, in-office graphic designer with strong experience in Adobe Illustrator, custom graphic creation, and print file setup. This role is best suited for someone who can work independently, manage multiple projects, and execute accurately without constant oversight.
What You’ll Do:
- Create custom graphics and design assets from scratch.
- Set up production-ready files (correct sizing, bleeds, margins, color modes, outlined fonts).
- Work on packaging, labels, and product-based designs.
- Handle revisions quickly while maintaining accuracy.
- Assist with light sales support (quotes, client updates).
- Occasionally communicate with clients for basic questions or consultations.
- Keep projects organized and moving on deadline.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Adobe Illustrator (daily use).
- Ability to create original graphics, not just modify templates.
- Solid understanding of print production standards and file setup.
- Ability to catch and correct mistakes before files go to print.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear and professional communication when interacting with clients.
Nice to Have:
- Packaging or label design experience
- Photoshop / InDesign experience
- Experience in a print shop or production environment
